I'm going to replace my 15+ year old water heater, with one I got at a garage sale. Of course it's shorter than the current one. So as opposed to some refitting work, I would like to know if a flex line is permitted to come off of my galvanized pipe gas feed, or do I have to continue with the galvanized pipe?
Also what about the water lines? Is there a type of flex line that can be used for that as well?
Thanks

Get a licensed plumber to hook up the gas. It's not worth taking the chance with your family's safety.
