Hello! I have the old style keypad with nothing but 8 zone numbers. I do have the master code for my system. Please tell me the exact sequence to type to access and update my system to change the old security phone number. I have tried everything and always manage to sound the alarm.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Here is a link to the programming manual.
The information you are looking for starts on page 6.
This is not as easy as telling you the steps to take.
Make sure you understand the 2 2 0 # function.
After all the programming data has been entered into locations 000-180, you must enter the
code [2]-[2]-[0]-[#] to permanently load the information into the EEPROM. IF THIS STEP IS
NOT TAKEN, THE DATA IN THE EEPROM WILL NOT CHANGE, AND THE RANGER 8980
WILL NOT CHANGE CHARACTERISTICS.
Good Luck and let us know if you have any questions.
