Cannot find a diode larger than 3 amp can they be paralleled or will each have a different fwd bias current and just pop one at a time. Need about ten amp capacity prv about 50

What are you trying to use the diodes for? That's an answer that will vary a lot depending on the circuit you are trying to build. Try running a websearch using the phrase "high current diode".

Not trying to put the question in the wrong place, but figured the alarm forum was more than likely viewed by people with electronic background.
Trying to find a diode for an old mower charging circuit which is half wave and I need something that will handle the saturation current of the alternator.coil excited by flywheel magnets. Any helf or advice appreciated. Tom

like gardener said, google "diode" and then refine with "high current". you will get a lot of hits. The first listed has 150 amp diodes.

they are used in things like welders and electric industrial fork lifts and many more things.
