The kitchen microwave wall vent needs to be moved to the right about one inch for proper ventilation and door operation. What can be used to fill in the one inch gap that will be created to the left running from the inside kithcen wall to the exterior wall.

2 pieces of 1/2" drywall.

for that small a hole inside just tape and some mud. On the inside let it dry on other side fill with insulation. then what is the out side made of ???? could you cut a plug like and glue it in the hole????????
