Hello....I have designed a faux fireplace to be built in our living room. The design I created is an off-set corner firebox (in the corner facing more to the room) with hearth, mantel and an above the mantel closer (like a flute). I created this design with a software program and would love to show it, but there's no place for uploading jpgs.....

So this is what I'm inquiring about. Should I do a faux painting on the framing woods? (firebox brick, stone exterior and will be using real tiles and self made mantle). I really would like to find and purchase light-weight faux bricks (thin for inside firebox), stones (rounded or square with flat backs) or separates or in cutable sheets to create a realistic fireplace that won't chip or dent (which there will be an electric log burning unit inside the firebox). Any ideas or suggestions where to find such products? Do they exist?
