Walls and Ceilings - Sheetrock brand all-purpose joint compound which one to use?

I am ready to tape my basement. I was told to use Sheetrock brand ready mix all purpose joint compound to set the tape. Both Sheetrock brands (one with a green top & one with a blue top) say All-Purpose. Which one do I set the tape with and which one do I finish with? Thanks for any advise.

I usually use the green lid for taping, it's my understanding it "glues" the tape better. You can finish with either one although the lightweight is a little easier to sand.
