I am running 4 potlights off one breaker and nothing else is running off this breaker. The lights all work when i put the power on but as soon as i turn the switch off it blows the breaker. Please what is going on here??? These are 4 potlights/

If you want us to spot your error, you'll have to tell us which of the zillion possible ways you wired this.
Does the breaker trip when you turn the switch OFF, or when you turn the switch ON? Is it a 3-way switch (lever is blank) or a regular switch (lever says "on" and "off").
The most common error is a misunderstanding of a switch loop and wiring both the hot and neutral to the switch.
I'm sure the solution will be obvious once you tell us how you did this (in excrutiating detail).

You have a switch loop that is miswired. You are actually turning on the switch when the breaker blows. The switch has a black and white wire on it? The basic solution is this. if you want exact then yo need to tell us your wires in the lights and switch.
In the light with the cable from the panel connect the black hot wire to the white wire going to the switch. Connect the black wire coming from the switch to the black wires going to the fixtures. Connect the white wire coming from the panel to the white wires going to the fixtures. Colour the white wire to the switch black with a marker.
