ANy input on this would be appreciated. My girlfriend and I are in the middle of changing our bathroom mirror. It looks like the unit is designed to be attached with a bracket in the back and possible to the wall with hooks.

The hooks is where we are stuck. Should the mirror be mounted flush to the wall or should it lean forward a little bit because of the hooks behind it?

Is that common? It is a medium heavy unit about 25 pounds.

In other words should we see the mounting hooks at the top or should they be behind the mirror?

The mirrors in my house are fastened to the wall with adhesive, so there are no mounting hooks and the mirror is flat against the wall.

I have installed mirrors with brackets that permit the mirror to 'lean forward' (angle downward somewhat). If you could post a picture of your mirror I could give you more information
