We had our home treated with termidor last year as a preventative for termites (no active termites found). Recently I put new dirt around sections of the house for water drainage control. Just had rain and the dirt is like a mud bog . . . Some spots up to 5" dirt, less in others. Should we retreat with the termidor? Have we "compromised" the barrier?

If all you did was add some soil to fill low spots and improve drainage and did not disturb the perimeter soil, your chemical barrier should be fine. You would have likely had better success with the addition of new soil had you tamped it. If you provided enough soil and sloped it in a way to carry away excess water, tamped it, seeded and covered with straw or simply mulched would have prevent washing away. Check your gutters and downspouts to make sure they are clear and carrying excess water away from structure. Splash guards tend not to carry water far enough away from structure. Gutters are best attached to drains that carry water away from foundation.

I have never been a fan of peace of mind chemical treatments

If you are concerned drive white pines stakes around your house at ten foot or less intervals and check them occasionally to monitor termite activity
