I have just moved home, and a family memeber tried to put in some new light fittings, I have 2 light fittings in the living room and 2 in the hall, They are operated by a double switch. ( a double switch for the 2 lights in the Hall and a doulble switch for the living room.
After putting them all in, only one light in the living room will turn on and off, the other wont go off at all. This is the same in the hall way. One will go off and on and the other wont go off at all.
I am sure this is simple, but I have had to take the bulbs out of the lights that wont go off. Can anyone give me dome advise as to what coud be the problem
Both lights worked with the normal rose lights in, All these lights fittings have 3 lughts each on the,
Thank you.

Well, obviously you wired them to direct power instead of switched power. There are a few different ways you could have made this mistake, so we need more details to figure it out.
First, give us some background of the project. Were you installing some light fixtures where none existed before? Or were you replacing some light fixtures where other fixtures existed before? And are all these fixtures controlled by wall switches? And how many fixtures did you do? And how many fixtures are you having problems with? Finally, does anything at all happen when you flip the light switch that is supposed to control the problem fixtures?
Next, give us the connection details of the problem fixture or fixtures. How many wires of each color are in the ceiling box where the fixture was installed? How many wires of each color come from the new fixture? And then how did you connect the former to the latter?
Before we're done, we'll probably need to know about the switches too. It sounds like you have four fixtures and four switches, one switch for each fixture? Is this correct? Did you do anything at all in the switch boxes?
