I have a 5 year old 5600 that was primarily used for water softening that I would now like to convert for use as a whole house carbon filtration with backwash capability. Any ideas on what is necessary to retrofit the valve. I understand as it is set up there would be extra/unnecessary steps in the regen, but can I purchase a gear/wheel that has the needed steps?

You can do it the hard way...

Or, call Ohio Pure Water Co at 888-644-6426 and ask to speak to CK Moore. He'll tell you what you need and sell it to you with free shipping.

The watervalue link doesn't work. I did search around the site, and it appears parts are available. What I need, though, is a shopping list of parts needed. Thanks justalurker, I think I'll do just that.

mabulock,

You have to "copy & paste" the URL. HTML is turned off on this forum so it's not a "link".

Give CK Moore a call, he knows his stuff and will take good care of you.

I should have been more specific...the /fleck part is not operating. The site works though. Thanks, I will call him and go that route...much easier than trying to determine it myself.
