There's really no such thing as a "standard" box. Here are a couple of examples that will get you in the ballpark.

An Allied triple-gang box has outside dimensions of 3 9/16 inches deep, 5 11/16 inches wide, 3 3/4 inches high, and an internal volume of 56.5 cubic inches.

A Thomas & Betts non-metalic is 3 5/8" x 5 7/8" x 2 3/4", with 42.9 cu in.
