I will be installing bluestone treads next week.Any advice on riser material or landings would be appreciated.I am not a mason,but I have some skills...Can i pcture frame the landings? should i try and 45 the stones?

You can use bricks for the risers or stone veneer or even bluestone.
The stones can be cut into picture frames, but mostly their laid one piece across and the returns butted up to them with a 1/2" Joint
