I have the older "cinder block" walls in older home's crawl space where I need to support new joists that I am running/sistering to older joist (the new joist won't fit next to older joist on top of wall, the wall was knocked out to provide just enough space for older joist, so the new sisters will end at cinder wall)
Question-
1-should I drill out for anchoring new lag bolts into the seams (between the blocks) so I can use the epoxy/fusors to set the lag bolts?
2-or can I shoot some powder driven fasteners into the seams for quicker installation?
I'm asking because I know the older cinder blocks have been known to break down after time so I'm not sure which method would work best-
thanks in advance
