Termite and Wood Boring Insects - Wood Borers

I recently noticed a fine, talc like powder in a little pile on my pine floor.
The exit hole is about 3/16" diameter and has a irregular shaped border.
I'm thinking wood borers.

I've since removed all of the pine flooring, all of it came from the same supplier and was (supposedly) Kiln Dried.
The sub-floor showed no sign of them.
I've been under the house and looked at the bottom of the floor, no sign of them there either.
Will they spread to other parts of the house?
I've heard that whole house fumigation was the only way to rid the house of them.
Any advice on how to determine what kind of borers they are and how to get rid of them?

Kiln drying would have killed any insect eggs or larvae. Wood boring insects can be carried into the home in firewood, furniture, decorative wreaths, lumber for remodeling projects, acorns, nuts, or seeds that have been infested. They can enter from the crawl space. Wood boring insects in homes occur most often where there are moisture issues. Yes, they can infest other wood in the structure. Call an exterminator for diagnosis and recommendations.

I have been dealing with an old house borer problem in my house. This ******* can survive with less then 8% moisture for 30 years.

I take it you are on a craw space. After you have determined what kind of borer you have check to see what wood moisure they require or thrive in. And evaluate if you need to control it further. Veryify that you don't have any leaks around sliding door, windows etc. I mention this because a pest companies don't always recommend things they can't sell you.
