The house was built in 1938. I bought it in '86. The 2 joists under the kitchen are starting to drop. There is one steel angle clip on each side of each joist because its right at the window opening, and not able to sit on the cider blocks like the rest. Should I just jack them back up and put new screws. I probably should use stainless steel screws this time. Should I fill in the old screw holes? With what? It has only dropped 3/8 to 1/2 in., but the cabinets are showing a gap between them, that's how I noticed.
thanks
