Change in plans during remodeling - so we're adding a partition wall and it will dovetail off an already finished and primed wall. When the newest wall corners get taped and finished they will be on the primer of the existing wall. Is there any issue w/the mud sticking to the paint instead of just bare drywall? Any tricks/techniques to this or just act like the paint aint there?
Thanks guys!

As long as the paint isn't glossy the joint compound will stick fine. Sand it if the paint has a gloss.
