Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw it again, but this time it is smaller, so must be having babies! A few months ago I saw a snake, yes I say a snake coming from the vinyl, and was able to take a picture to prove to husband, now this morning as I go on the back deck, I see this small thing coming down from the sofit(sp) looking like a small leaf I looked again and it is a small snake head, I go get my husband but by the time he gets there the darn thing has gone back into the wall.

What can I do? I am scared to death, and ready to sell this house!!!! It is either me or the snake, I told my husband it was smaller then the first so it must be a baby!!!!!!!!!!

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

I don't know for sure if it works but I've always heard that moth balls deter snakes. You might try scattering them around in the attic and any place where you see [or think you see :D] them.

Wish you luck

If they're bothering you that much, go through the phone book to find a pest control company that handles snakes.

I buy many older homes and rehab them for use as rental properties so I am in the attic or under many houses a year. Snakes love attics (I'm just not sure how they get up there so reliably). I'm sure they love the dark protected area and they get below the insulation where the heat from the house keeps them warm all winter.

My suggestions:
1. Here in NC snakes leave the attic in the summer. It gets way too hot for them and they leave on their own. After they are gone you need to seal up any hole, nook or cranny where they can get back into your house.
2. Call a pest professional to get rid of them and have a handy man or contractor seal up any holes in your home.
3. Burn the house down and move to a penthouse apartment in Manhattan.

Pilot, if disneylover moves to manhattan then she will have rats and roaches! Those are much more icky than snakes!

try your local feed store for "snake away" type products. after the pest control co. removes the snakes, they tend to return to their dens year after year. the snake away products irritate their skin as they pass over and they tend to leave the area.

All Snake Away is is $5.00 worth of mothballs in a $20 can
It effects their sense of smell not their sense of touch. It also works well on other varmints

If the snakes are harmless leave them alone.
They are predators so if they are there they are eating something else that you don't want there

Try the mothballs or camphor flakes, just toss it in where you see the snakes, or get your husband to do it.

If you are in Florida good luck getting a pest control company to come out unless it is one of those trapping outfits and then good luck trying to justify the cost
