I have an existing 6 foot fence. Some of the posts are rotting off where they enter the concrete poured into post holes. What would be a relatively easy way to repair these post?

Replace them. It's the only method I'm aware of for this situation. It's not that big of a job - though appears daunting at the onset.

I have had good luck pulling posts by wrapping a chain around the post at the ground then standing a tire rim (the bigger the better) up against the post. Run the chain over the top of the rim then to the pulling vehicle. This pulls up on the post. Good luck Tom

you can drive a Oz-Post into the old post or pull the post with a post puller. I have used the Oz-Puller and it works great. You can rent it at sunbelt rental. If the post was installed with oz-post it wouldn't be rotten.

not a lot of thought into this reply yet but how 'bout just cutting them off ground level and reposition new post location.

This is time consuming, but easy on the back and wallet. You need a 16 inch long 1 inch spade bit, a hammer a wonder bar and shop vac helps. Dig out the rotting wood and dirt that is in there. once its fully clean re-insert a new 4x4 and apply a couple inches of new concrete on the top, its much easier that digging 40 lbs of concrete out of the ground.

I have heard that concrete hastens the rotting since the water can't escape
