I just finished installing a Honeywell HE360A humidifier with an H1000A automatic humidity control to my Carrier WeatherMaker 58SXC furnace. The humidifier seems to be working, but the furnace blower won't kick on. I disconnected the wires from the furnace board and then it kicked on. I have it connected exactly as it says in the H1000A manual. The W on the furnace board to the W on the humidistat. The C on the furnace board to the CG on the humidistat. The instructions show a connection from G on the board to G on the humidistat as "optional", so I didn't make the connection.

On the humidifier side, I have the two yellows going to the two HUM connections on the humidistat, and the two reds going to the HOT and COM on the humidistat.

Any ideas?

When do you mean when the blower don't kick on?

-Fan switched to ON?

-Fan in heating mode?

-Fan to turn on with the Humidifier?

What wire or wires are you removing before it works?

I just realized what I did. I had the gas valve closed. D'oh!

The furnace is working now. I'll give it a few days to see if the humidifier is working.

Regarding the G connection, what is that for? Do I need it?

Thanks

hehe yeah it may help to turn on the gas!

G use if you want the humidifer to "force" the fan on to add humidity into the home if your furnace don't run enough to keep up.

That sounds like a useful option. I'm going to go back and hook that up. I wish they would tell you this stuff in the instructions.

Thanks Jay!
