I just took some clothes out of a natural gas dryer and the clothes were so hot I almost burnt my hands, is this normal or did I catch it in a heat cycle?

Hello seacilian and Welcome into the Gas Appliances topic.

Likely caught it in a drying cycle and took the clothes out too soon. Before the entire cycle finished. Usually there is a cooling off time at the end of the drying cycle. Items removed before the end of the entire last cycle will be hot or warm. All is normal.
