I didn't winterize my craftsman 580.751651 pressure washer last year. Didn't know I had to ,I do now! It cracked the aluminum outlet tube to wher a steady spray of water is comming out at a rate of aprox. 1 pint per minute. I have no pressure at the tip (aprox 20 psi). I'm wondering if I damaged something internally in the pump ie. unloader, etc.I don't want to order the outlet tube if I have damaged the pump and need a new one. How can I determine if the pump is good or not and all the pump components are ok. Will this amount of water leakage cause the unloader to unload? Can I pull the unloader and visually inspect for damage? How can I test to see if the unloader is o.k.?

The cracked outlet shouldn't be causing the unloader to unload. I think there's a problem with it too. You'll want to remove it and inspect it/get it working before sinking any $$ into it, or you might be throwing good money after bad. If this is an inexpensive little vertical shaft setup, you will probably be better off buying a new unit anyway. Check out the unloader if you can get it out, and see what you've got.

I would also make sure you can identify the exact spot the leak is. If it is a fitting that can be replaced you would be lucky. I have seen too many that the pump housing itself splits, cracks or breaks. Even after market pumps are usually half + the cost of a new unit.
