We have an old furnace with no wiring board. We installed the unit and have used the external 24v transformer. Everything appears to be connected correctly, but we are not getting any water flow through the solenoid in either test mode or normal operation. Some other facts:
- we are using the manual temperature operation
- with the furnace and blower running, moving the humidifier control through the range, one can hear a clicking seeming to indicate that the unit is sensing the humidity level.
- I loosened the input side of the solenoid and water is flowing to that point
- the floats are in the down position (the white wires from the floats are connected to the yellow wires which go back to the H connector.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a meter to check for power?

Yes we do, and have tested the voltage across the R and C terminals. I belive it was 28vac. Any other places to check?

Yes, no voltage in test mode. Any other ideas. If I took those two H and connected them would the solenoid work? Just trying to eliminate any other bad parts.
