Does anyone know how to hook up a tach. to a Briggs & Stratton Intek engine so I can check the r.p.m's? Thank you!

Most small engine tachs just wrap a wire around one of the spark plug wires, you can get dual units that measure head temp as well (a small washer mounts under the spark plug).
