I have a Honeywell HE225 Humidifier, Evolution Thermostat. Now that the outdoor temp is around 50 degrees, my humidifier is calling for around 45 % indoor humidity, and its around 35% now according to my Evolution thermostat. The water is running constantly into the drain when the furncace is on. My question is this: will it hurt the humidifier if I turn to saddle valve down or off and turn the damper to summer? Is there any other way to turn the Humidifier off for the season? I cannot find an "off" setting in the advance settings of the thermostat. Thanks.

If you no longer need the humidity, then yes, you shut off the water valve, and close the damper.

I don't know this t-stat how they work, but sure there no way of shutting it off? Otherwise, turn it way down.
