Getting ready to paint my house. I will have it pressure cleaned before painting it but I need to patch two areas. One is at the corner of the garage where some dear person clipped it and broke a 3 inch chunk off. Need something to build it up and make it a nice corner again. What do I use? Do I have to buy 60 lbs of whatever to be able to do the small area? Does it come pre-mixed?

The other place is my front planter. Two of the bricks have come loose (off). Right at the top of the planter. Need to get them back on there again. They are painted. I was looking at mortar mix today and it comes in 60 lb bags. Not only can I not lift it, I have no need for that much. Is there anything else I can use to put down just two bricks? Is there something that I can use for both projects?

Thanks for your help as always.

Double up a plastic shopping bag, buy a bag of pre-mixed mortar and when they go to load it into your car, open it and load up about 15 pounds of mortar into your bags. Ask them to throw the rest away for you.

Now THAT'S a cool idea. It's not expensive so that's not a bad idea. Thanks!!

Better yet, bring a 5 gallon bucket--or buy one at the same store.

Brought both the 5 gal bucket and some plastic shopping bags. Worked great and I had some to use when I overwatered the bucket. I think I did a pretty good job and I thank you guys for your help.
