Our brand new stainless steel stove got a scratch right in the most visible place during installation. Has anyone ever tried to buff a shallow scratch out of stainless? I wonder if the metal is laquered? I sure don't want to make things worse so I'd be grateful for any advice. Thanks.
PS I gave the stove the "magnet test" and determined that the scratched bit IS steel, though much of the rest of the "stainless" is aluminum.... I should have paid them with counterfeit bills.
