Could some one please give me an idea what it might cost to have two small rooms approx. 12x12 carpeted? The installer will have to rip out the old carpet too.

My minimum charge is $100 (sometimes less depending on situation). I would say from $120-$150 if the rooms had no furniture to be moved. But this is the going rate in my area I can't say if prices in your area are higher

Carpet, pad and install, including taking up and disposing of the existing carpet, $250 - $300 per small bedroom, with a carpet allowance of $1.00 per sq.ft.($11 a sq.yd, roughly)
