Painting - how do you paint two different wall colors when dealing with a curved ceiling

I have a curved ceiling and its not a typical curved ceiling in that the curve ends with a design on each corner of the ceiling. I want to paint one wall a darker color and the others a light color. The problem is the wall corners merge as you go up to the ceiling into the design and I don't know how to make it look right.

it won't ever look right. don't fight the architecture of the house. it was done that way so that there were no hard edges and everything flowed softly into each other. what you're going to do would work directly against that.

i would advise you to find another way to add that accent color, like in the drapery or throw pillows or an area rug, etc. or add a chair rail and paint the accent color below the moulding.
