Hi,
I am painting a guest room in my house and I am using eggshell on the walls and I wanted to know whether I should use eggshell or semi-gloss on the bedroom door and closet doors. Appreciate your input!
Thanks,
sweetboy

I did my doors in semi-gloss and they turned out pretty good. Semi-gloss is a better hard scrubbing paint-for getting kid prints off-IMO--LOL

It is all a matter of personal choice. I prefer gloss on woodwork but have had quite a few customers that preffered satin/eggshell, semi-gloss is the most popular.
Be aware of what is currently on the woodwork. If the trim has been painted with oil base [see sticky atop this forum] you need to stick with oil base or take the proper steps to insure adhesion. Not all enamels are equal, some are for walls only and not suitable for woodwork - read the label.
