Hello..maybe you can help me out with my problematic dryer. It is a maytag dryer about 7 years old and the model number is MD9206. Recently the dryer has not been heating up at all but it does run. The glow coil will not energize when its connected in the dryer, but it has been tested outside the dryer and it worked perfectly fine. I also have replaced both coils on the gas valve. Now, i think this is where i have the root of my problems...both wires (red and white) running to the glow coil are constantly energized with 110 volts even when the dryer is not on. This cant be normal because one of the wires is neutral. What could be the cause of this and how do i fix this. Do you think this is what is causing the dryer to not heat up. If not..what else should I do? Thanks!
p.s. I have ruled out any problems with the gas line.

Hello jgpg and Welcome into the Gas Appliances topic.
Based upon memory, never encountered a problem like this. Power to both sides of the HSI.
I can highly doubt the condition existed prior to replacing the solenoids but it is possible, maybe. Unless a short exists somewhere in the wiring system or with another part. Try tracing back the neutral wire to parts and or terminals it connects to. May find a shorted wire, connection and/or defective part, etc.
Nor do I suspect or doubt the condition resulted from replacing the solenoids. The two quick disconnects on the solenoids are different and will not interchange, so connecting them incorrectly not possible. Same applies to the solenoids. Not interchangeable.
Possible the solenoids are not the correct ones. Double check. Should be OEM original parts only purchased retail from a local appliance parts store. Re check parts with with retailer. Also inquire about the condition with them. Likely be willing to help and possibly give you a wire diagram upon asking. Or there may be one attached to the inside back panel, etc. Look for one.
