When I turn on my shower faucet full blast, the diverter valve often pops into the "shower" position before I even touch it. This is annoying when I need to fill a bucket of water and suddenly the shower turns on. What do you suppose is causing the problem?

It even be MORE annoying to be standing in the tub, with the tub running some while you are cleaning the tub with your clothes on. :)

What kind of diverter do you have? The kind on the plate on the shower wall, or the kind that is on the tub spout? (I'm guessing like the push button kind on the plate?)
