Hi i have a GE top load washer thats squeeking during the spin cycle. I removed the front panel and noticed near the bottom of the panel that there was a oil residue there that was dirty and burnt on the bottom of the washer and also on the bottom of the front panel. The belt looks fine and the noise appears comes from the motor and belt. There was also some blanket fuzz all over the inside of machine. Was even some stuck on belt.
Would it be the motor going because fo the blanket fuzz??
I didnt smell any burning of any kind.
The washer seems to be working properly still but makes some awefull squeeling noises.
