a few months ago we had our tile replaced in the bathroom. The guys took out the toilet, I bought a new O-ring and they put that in and put the toilet back on the floor. Well, now the toilet rocks. There are no 'humps' in the floor and my husband has even tried to tighten the bolts. I've Could I have bought the wrong type of O-ring??? Any suggestions on what we should do?

There are clear plastic shims available in the plumbing dept. at the box stores for placing under the edges of toilets to level them and stop the rocking. I place a small bubble level across the toilet just behind the seat bolts and shim the toilet base until things are level. Then I tighten the hold-down bolts and carefully cut the shims off flush with the edge of the toilet using a dovetail saw.
