I have a circa 80's Kohler 3 knob (hot, cold, diverter) bathtub fixture that I would like to replace with a single mixer/diverter. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the pipes from behind but am not adverse to knocking out some number of existing tiles for access (some retiling was going to occur to cover the old holes anyway). Looking for advice regarding this DIY project (to include advice to not DIY but call a pro). Thanks.
