I'm experiencing problems with the "All Housecode RF Transceiver & Powerlinc". It works perfectly for about 5 minutes, then stops. If I unplug it and leave it unplugged for about a day, then I can plug it in and get another 5 minutes. I don't know if the problem is in the V572A Transceiver or in the Powerlinc, but I did notice that the power required by the V572A does not match the power output provided by the Powerlinc. Unfortunately, I don't have the separate power supply for the V572A, so I cannot test and rule out that problem. Has anyone else run into this issue?

If it's not the power supply, I think the next step would be to try the X10 TW523 in place of the powerlinc... Obviously, it would be great to take advantage of the increased range and reliability of the RF Transceiver, but so far it's not working. I'd love to hear if someone else has already solved this one.

Thanks in advance,
Dan VK

I do not know if I have the answer to your issue, but ...

I have had several X10 issues that I seem to have worked out. First thing I got is a signal bridge that is wired directly to both bus bars in your circuit panel (this bridges the two "legs" of your electric system). That solved about 90% of my issues.

I have also had ran into a couple of weird problems like you had and was able to trace it down to interference. There is no glamour to this job, it is just a matter of unplugging EVERYTHING in your house trying the X10 device with the problem before plugging in each device.

The last issue I had was caused by a computer.

Hope this helps.
