I have a 1997 Searay with a Mercruiser outdrive. It has been sitting a while and the tilt/trim worked fine to go up, but down it sounds as if it is pulling air and it wont move. I also cant physically move the drive down with the lines removed. I have taken the pump out and it seems to be pumping both directions, it just wont go down when its in the boat. I am powering it by the wires on the pump so I assume I am bypassing any switches?

Do I need to bleed it somehow? If so how do I do it? What else could be bad?
