I just purchased the Desert Spring humidifier ($198 at Lowes) to install on my Bryant furnace (High efficiency 90+) which supplies air to the first floor and walk out basement (I have another furnace in the attic for second floor). I read the instructions and should be comforatble doing the cutting and assembley, but I need help with wiring diagrams. I would like to have the humidifier work when the blower is on and when heat is supplied (Only in the winter). Does anyone have pictures or diagrams on the wiring to acheive what i'm looking for?
I have another issue, I have another furnace in the attic which supplies air to the second floor. I was told that installing a humidifier in the attic is not a good idea as the water will freeze + I would an issue getting a water line up there. Any thoughts on a solution for the second floor?
Your help and advice is very much appreciated.

Ok, if you want your humidifer to run whenever the fan is running, then wire the transfromer on to EAC1 and EAC2 on the board.
if you only want to have it when there's call of heat, then wire the humidifer to HUM 1 and HUM2 on the board...(No transfromer needed on this)

Jay or others,
I'm still having wiring issues with the Furnace. Currently the Desert spring motor is attached to a wall outlet, through the supplied 24V transformer, so its running continuously (fine for now as temporary solution).
So my furnace board has the following connections:
Y1 DHUM G COM W Y1/Y2 R
24V
I tried to connect the humidifier motor to Y1 & DHUM, no voltage, could not measure anything. I tried connecting it to G & COM, voltage was 0.004. Which connections do I use? I'm using a voltmeter to measure before connecting to hum and damage the motor.
Idealy, i would like the hum to work on heat or fan. i can settle for heat of its easier.
Your help is much appreciated.

Are you sure you don't have HUM1./HUM2 or EAC1/EAC2 on the board??
take a pix of the whole board for us if you can't locate this.

I found the HUM and EAC1 and EAC2. I guess I have to properly terminate the end of the wires to make the connection. Accross from the HUM connection was a similar connection, smaller in size, and not labled. Would that be the other HUM2 connection?
My board is HK42FZ014. I could not take a picutre as there are 2 many wires.
How do i connect it?
Is there a diagram for the that board?

Look on the back side of the door, you should see a diagram for your furnace.
Just strip the wire back and wrap around the screw.
