I have 2 year old Stackable Washer/Dryer (Fridgedair) and Dishwasher (Maytag). No problems with them.

Is there anything (filters?) that I can do?

I just want to stay ahead of the game in terms of repairs.

No pro, but since no one responded.... :D

*Some maintenance for the washer:

Check hoses-make sure there's no wear and tear

Leveling-make sure it's still level.


*Some maintenance for the dryer:

Vent/Duct-make sure they're clear of lint

Lint filter-make sure there's no tears or holes. Clean the any residue off of it.

Also, clean(vacuum) the area where the lint filter goes. There could be lint there too.


*Some maintenance for dishwasher:

Check for any rust in the interior. If there's rust, clean it.

Check to make sure the plastic coating on the racks are not worn off. If you find any places that are, repair it.

If your dishwasher has a filter in it, clean it.

Make sure the holes in the spray arms are no clogged.
