Hi,

I have and old, but still working great, Kenmore series 26 refrigertor. When it quit two months ago, while waiting for the repair person to show up in three days and expecting to spend at least $150 I decided to poke it around. Inside the refrig. side, I pulled the cover panel which has light switch, temp. dial and powere miser. I noticed the switch behind the power miser seemed broken off. I gave it a firm press and the refrig came to life. I called off the appointment but I have to watch the refrig constantly and push the buttom often when it quits again and again, say every 2-3 days, like pushing a reset buttom. I think I need to order and replace the switch but ---

Can I use a tape and tape it over the broken switch and gives it a constant pressure in order to keep the thing going without replacing the switch? Am I risking for burning off the motor or somthing?

Please help, thanks.
