Hello,
A friend recently gave us a Kenmore portable dishwasher. I have never used a dishwasher in my life. The friend told us to put dish detergent under the little flap and some blue liquid in the screw on section for no spots. Apparently, the flap does not release when the timer hits the wash cycle as after going through an entire wash the flap was closed and still full of detergent. I am assuming maybe I have a bad solenoid but am not sure. Is this an expensive project and is it something I can do myself? The timer button also doesn't seem to be turning on its own now either.
