I have new a Corian built in sink.

Plumbers Putty says " DO NOT USE ON MARBLE, GRANITE, PLASTIC, OR ANY OTHER DIMENSIONAL STONE"

Does this include Corian, or should I use Silicone under the drain ring flange?

They also make a plumber's putty for marble, granite, plastic, etc. - my plumber's putty label had the warning what not to use it on and then said to buy 'such and such' plumber's putty (by the same company) that would work with those applications.
