Hello. I just got an HE360 to replace an older Trion mister humidifier and I was hoping to utilize the same wiring configuration as before but it doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone offer any advise on how I can wire it directly without using a sail switch?
Right now, the HE360 has two yellow wires and I have one yellow wire going directly to the humidistat. And from the humidistat, I have that wire going into the white (neutral) terminal on my furnace panel.
The other other yellow wire from the HE360 is going into the blue (heat) terminal on the furnace panel.
I know something is wrong and that wiring into the blue (heat) may be wrong. Should I wire it to the HUM terminal instead?
I'm really trying to bypass the sail switch as the location of it would be very difficult to install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I did remove that wire. Thanks for the warning!
The furnace is a Ducane Fits All-80 and the humidistat is the one that came with the Honeywell humidifier.
From my calls to Honeywell today, they recommened plugging into a 24V source as the unit has a built in transformer. What do you think?
Thanks again!

Ok two ways you can do.
You put an out let on the side of the furnace. Then run a wire from the let out to one of the two connetion on the board.
1-HUM this will provide 110v power only when the burners comes on.
2-EAC, this will also provide 110v power any time the blower itself is on.
Then you just run one yellow wire to the humidistat,, then other wire from humidistat back to yellow.
Hopefully everything is ok, and not shorted out since you met two diffrent 24volts.
