I was in shower all was fine then suddenly the water will turn very hot, i add more cold all is fine. Plumber was here and replaced a "sticky" thermostat?? Anyhow my shower is still doing it. Now does this point to the Mixing valve ?? What else could it be? Electric water heater AOsmith 10 years old?

It sounds like cold water is running somewhere...from having a toilet flushed in the house, or washing machine kick on, or lawn sprinkler, or water softener machine? or something.
