My Maytag washer (Model #A511; Serial #163982) has worked very well for nearly 23 years. Just recently though, it experiences bad shaking during the spin cycle. I've repeatedly reset the level with the adjustable feet, but that only lasts one or two washings, then it's back to the bad shaking. Is there anything that could be damaged or worn? (For example, a bushing, spring, or damper?). Any ideas on this one? Thanks -
Tom

Uh Tom, I think you got you monies worth out of that washer!! LOL
After 23 years I would assume there would be a few things that would have worn out. See if you can find a schematic online and replace what is needed......or better yet, retire that old thing. There are plenty of more Energy efficient washers that use alot less water and energy to do twice as much laundry.

I was just coming to post about the same thing! I have a different model though.
Replacement is not an option for me right now and maybe not for HighDesertTom. Are there any suggestions as to what could be wrong and how to fix it?
TIA
