I have 2 Eljer toilet systems that are about 4 years old. When you push down the handle the float will stay open. Thus the water keeps running into an open hole if you will. So when the kids flush the toilet and then walk away the toilet water runs all day long. Sometimes because the chain may get caught on it or it just won't go back down unless you pop the handle one more time and then it will go down. What can I do to fix this problem or is it time to get a new float system? Thanks

Make sure there is not too much slack in the chain to the float. The arm from the handle has 3 or 4 holes for chain placement. Try different connections with the chain.

Replacement kits are about 9.50 at Home Depot or Lowes
