I have a 3 yr. old Amana Model #nav6800aww washing machine that ticks whan in the spin cycle. it almost sounds as if it is out of balance, however it does not appear to be. It ticks no matter what is being washed. I have had the whole thing apart and can't seem to pinpoint the noise or tick. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks.

I had the same issue with my amana washing machine- it eventually began to leak water from the bottom. Appliance repair said it was the triple seal. replace that - the leaking stopped but it is ticking again. He did suggest using the extra rinse cycle and using half the amount of soap recommended on the detergent bottles. I do need to call the repair folks again- had a difficult time with Amana repair- gave me incorrect information about the warranty coverage. (left me with a big bill to cover) May be that is also the problem with your washer- the triple seal. good luck.
