I have a Maytag Neptune Drying Center MCE8000AYW. How do I open and remove the FRONT PANEL ASSEMBLY (part # 31001706), part of the of the FRONT PANEL & LOWER DOORS ...???
I was trying to remove lint that had accumulated at the bottom of the dryer (the lint screen did not catch it all and some got past the lint-screen) -- so I removed the front bottom door of the tumble-dryer. But when I loosed the screw that attaches the door-hinge to the frame of the dryer, the nut fell down the inside if the dryer.
In the parts list I am referring to items:
(a) SCREW, 8-18X1/2 TY AB ACR (Qty 4) (Series 10) 31001703, # 33
(b) SCREW #8-18AB WAFER HD (Series 10) 22002063, # 34
(c) PLUG (Series 10) 31001648, # 35
