Don't know much about engineered wood flooring--Salesman at the local store turned me on to BR111. Seemed nice but I dont really know any better. Can I get some advice and tips on what to look for and what NOT to have. Flooring will be installed over a concrete slab.
-What is minimum overall thickness I need?
-What is minimum wear layer?
-Salesman said I could install as floating or glued down? Is one better than the other and why?
-Do I need an underlayment or moisture barrier?
-Anything thing I need to know?
Thanks

First, I assume the slab is DRY, no moisture whatever???? Do a quick test(several days). Put a piece of aluminum or plastic(12" square) on the floor and seal it with tape. After several days, tell us what you see.
As to the other questions, difficult to answer. Not familiar with BR111. Engineered flooring is basically plywood with a finished top layer of wood. The top layer may be fairly thick or very thin, depending on the quality of the product. The manufacturer will specify how their product should be installed, including adhesive, method, underlayment, etc.

I believe BR-111 has the installation instructions on their website.
