My kitchen and bathroom sink valves are getting sticky in turning on and off.
They both have valve cartridges. I'm wondering if they can cleaned up and
coated with a water proof grease lubricant,or should i just replace them?
They work fine except for the sticky-ness.
thanks

You can buy kits to replace the "O" rings. Take one out and got to Lowes or Home Depot and match them for correct size.

Vasoline works great also, take out the cartridge, clean inside the pipe where you took out the cartridge. Rag and screw driver will do the trick. Coat inside with vasoline and on the cartridge also.

daswede,

You may have to not just take the cartridge out and lube, but to take the internal cylinder out of the external shell of the cartridge itself (In other words, take the cartridge apart)...to be able to lube the o-rings inside the cartridge itself. Just thought I woud clear that up in case that part was not understood.

I called the sink manufacture and they are sending me 2 new cartridge replacements free as there is a lifetime warranty on the faucet, but when
i replace them i'll take the cartridge apart and clean up the old one as you suggested.
